VIGNA A SOLATÌO RISERVA

FROM THE BEST VERNACCIA GRAPES

Produced by Solatio vineyards in Casale in Saint Gimignano , the wine is made from a careful selection of the best Vernaccia grapes. The wine is fermented and aged in 225 l oak barrels for 5/6 months. After bottling, it is aged for another four months before leaving the cellar.

Denomination: Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG

Origin: Vigna Solatio I e Solatio II - Casale, San Gimignano

Grape variety: Vernaccia 100%

Vinification:  White wine vinification and soft pressing using pneumatic diaphragm presses, cold room temperature control for must fermentation in French oak barrels with selected yeasts added to enhance the product.

Wine containers for ageing: Aged in French oak barrels.

Alcohol Content: 13%

Ageing:This wine ages well in the bottle for 2-3 years after the harvest.

Serving temperature: 8-10°C

Organoleptic characteristics of the wine:

Colour: pale yellow when young, tending towards golden yellow with ageing.

Aroma: Slightly aromatic scent of fruit, of wild apple.

Flavour: intense, fruity, dry, clean and mellow.

It goes well with: starters, pasta dishes, white meats, fish and shellfish soup, it is also excellent as an aperitif.
